01 - Sift matcha powder into a mug to eliminate clumps. Add hot water and whisk vigorously with a bamboo whisk or regular whisk until completely dissolved and frothy.
02 - Gently heat almond milk in a small saucepan until steaming but not boiling. Froth using a milk frother, blender, or whisk until creamy texture develops.
03 - Pour warm, frothed almond milk into the mug containing dissolved matcha. Stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract if using. Serve immediately, optionally dusted with additional matcha powder.
