Crunchy cereal coated in white chocolate and powdered sugar, mixed with green candies, marshmallows, and gold coins.

# What You'll Need:

→ Base

01 - 6 cups rice cereal squares

→ Chocolate Mixture

02 - 1 cup white chocolate chips
03 - 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
04 - 1/4 cup unsalted butter
05 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Coating

06 - 2 cups powdered sugar

→ Add-Ins & Decorations

07 - 1 cup green candy-coated chocolates
08 - 1 cup mini marshmallows
09 - 1/2 cup gold chocolate coins, chopped or whole
10 - 1/2 cup green sprinkles or sanding sugar

# How To Make It:

01 - Place rice cereal squares in a large mixing bowl.
02 - In microwave-safe bowl, combine white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until smooth and fully melted (about 1-2 minutes). Stir in vanilla extract.
03 - Pour chocolate mixture over cereal and gently fold with spatula until evenly coated.
04 - Transfer coated cereal to gallon-size zip-top bag. Add powdered sugar, seal bag, and shake until thoroughly coated.
05 - Spread mixture on parchment-lined baking sheet to cool for 10 minutes.
06 - Once cooled, stir in green candy-coated chocolates, mini marshmallows, gold chocolate coins, and green sprinkles. Gently toss to combine.
07 - Store in airtight container until ready to serve.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • The white chocolate and peanut butter combo creates this incredibly creamy coating that actually sticks to every single piece of cereal instead of leaving you with bare patches
  • My kids go absolutely wild for the gold coin treasure hunt aspect, and honestly so do the adults at parties
02 -
  • White chocolate seizes faster than dark chocolate so never walk away from the microwave, and if it does get grainy try whisking in a tiny splash of cream to save it
  • The mixture needs to be completely cool before adding the candy and marshmallows or the colors will bleed and create this weird muddy look
03 -
  • If your coating seems too thick to coat the cereal evenly, warm it for another 10 seconds and add a tiny pinch of salt to balance the sweetness
  • Double the powdered sugar coating if you want that classic snowy look, though I personally prefer a lighter coating that lets the colors pop
